Middle Indo-Aryan, Southern Brāhmī script. There are at least three preserved lines, with descender of the fourth; h. unavailable ×  w. unavailable cm .
Date
Attributable between the 3rd and the 4th century CE on palaeographic grounds.
Origin
Phanigiri.
Provenance
Nothing is known about date and location of discovery of this fragmentary pillar. Identified in a storage house in Phanigiri village in February 2016.

    Apparatus

    • (1) [kath] . This might be reconstructed as (dhaṁma) [kath] (ikasa) , (dhaṁma) [kath] (ikena) , or the like.
    • (4) ? ? dhaṁmaṁ This is likely to stand for (deya)dhaṁmaṁ, and to be the end of the inscription.

    Translation

    (...) pious gift (?) (...) of the virtous (sādhu) (...), together with his wife (...), the dharmakathika (?).
