Amaravati.
Provenance
The marble stone was discovered before 1816 (Fergusson 1873 pl. XLVII: site plan with findspot marked) but was subsequently lost. It was rediscovered by Sewell among the slabs which had been transfered from South Kensington to the British Museum. Identified at the British Museum (acc. no. 1880,0709.67) on 11 May 2017.
